Taiwan Export Formal Customs Declaration Application Guide

 

 

I. Scope of Application

1. Shipments from Taiwan to China requiring formal export or import customs declaration in China.

2. Shipments from Taiwan to overseas destinations, with final destinations being China, Hong Kong, or Macau, requiring formal export customs declaration.

 

 

II. Application Process

1. After placing your order via the IUOP platform or QR code form, upload the required customs declaration documents to complete your order and customs declaration application.

2.Required documents for formal export declaration:

(1) Power of attorney for the specific case;

(2) Commercial invoice;

(3) Packing list (required if shipping two or more cartons);

(4) Application form for formal export declaration;

(5) Declaration of foreign goods (required for re-export of foreign goods);

(6) Copy of ID card or passport (for personal shipments)

 

III. Detailed Steps

3.1Placing Orders and Applying for Customs Declaration via QR Code

1. Fill in detailed sender and recipient information. If a formal declaration is needed for export or import, the sender's/recipient’s email address must be provided.

2. After entering shipment details, select the customs declaration method for export/import.

Example: For shipments exported from Taiwan requiring a formal declaration, select “Formal Declaration” under Export Declaration. If not required, choose either “Simplified Declaration – Sample” or “Simplified Declaration – Sales” as appropriate. Similarly, select the applicable import customs method based on the requirements of the destination.

3.After submitting the order, click “Click here” on the order confirmation page to access the customs documents upload page and upload the necessary documents. Alternatively, you may log in via a computer to the Taiwan S.F. Express official website Service & Support ID Upload.

l Supported file formats: xls, xlsx, doc, docx, png, jpg, jpeg, pdf

l To enhance customs processing efficiency, it is recommended that invoices and packing lists be uploaded in xls, xlsx, doc, or docx formats. Each file must be under 8MB.

4. Once the customs documents pass review, the system will automatically send a confirmation email to the sender’s registered email address. At this stage, simply wait for the courier to pick up the shipment. If any documents are missing or incorrect, a customs service representative will contact the sender by phone to request corrections or additional submissions.

 

 

3.2 Placing Orders and Applying for Customs Declaration via the IUOP Order Platform

1. Open the IUOP system link to access the registration/login page. New users should go to the registration page and choose to register via mobile number or email. Fill in the required information to complete the registration.

 

Once registered, enter your mobile number or email and password to log in.

 
2. Click on “Express Service” in the top menu, then select “Single Shipment Order” to enter the order details page. Fill in the sender and recipient information. If formal export or import declaration is required, the sender’s/recipient’s email address must be provided.

l In the <Country/Region> field, you can quickly search by entering the country/region name, e.g., “TW” or “Taiwan”.

Select <Province/City>, then <City/County>, and finally choose <Postal Code> to quickly populate the corresponding postal code.

After entering the sender/recipient details, click “Save to Address Book” to save the information for future use. You can also click “Clear” to remove all entered information from the page.

 

 

3. After filling in the item declaration information, proceed to Step 03: Order Information Page. Select the appropriate Export Declaration Method and Import Declaration Method based on your customs requirements. 

If there are special formatting instructions for the customs declaration, you may enter the details in the Commercial Invoice Remarks field.

If the payment methods for customs service fees and shipping fees differ, please specify this in the Waybill Remarks (For Courier Use) field.

 

4. After submitting the order, on the order confirmation page, follow the navigation prompts to proceed to Step 2: Complete Customs Information. Click “Export Declaration Information” to enter the customs document upload page, and choose “Customs Documents” to upload the required files.

5. Alternative upload method: From the left-side menu, click Order List or Single Shipment Customs Info Completion, locate the relevant order, then click the Upload button on the right to access the customs document upload page.
