SFHK Urges Customers to Beware of Various Phishing Scams
-
S.F. Express (Hong Kong) Limited (hereinafter“SFHK”) has discovered that criminals continue to counterfeit to be the company and send phishing fraudulent text messages (SMS) and emails to customers, which claims that the shipment cannot been delivered and requires the customer to call the “claims specialists”, attaching a phishing link to require customers to click on fake websites to obtain personal and credit card information. SFHK hereby declares that the fraudulent SMS, call and website have nothing related to the company.
Since mid-April, 2025, SFHK has switched all parcel self-pickup notifications from SMS to push notifications through its official "SFHK APP" to reduce the risk of customers falling victim to fraudulent messages. SFHK appeals to customers to download and register the mobile app as soon as possible and to enable notifications in order to receive shipment arrival alerts promptly, including waybill number, information of sender and receiver, fee details and so on.
SFHK has participated in the SMS Sender Registration Scheme and all the SMS will be sent by #SFExpress, making it more convenient for customers to identify the authenticity of the SMS. SFHK reiterates that the SMS and emails sent by the company will specify the correct waybill number. Customers should be vigilant if receive the SMS and emails without the waybill numbers. SFHK would like to remind customers and the public to be more vigilant and pay attention to the following points, so as to be cautious of being deceived:
1. Customers can download the SFHK APP (SF-EXPRESS APP), or enter to the SFHK official website directly in the browser with hyperlink https://htm.sf-express.com/hk/en/ to check the authenticity of the waybill and the status of the shipment
2. SFHK staff will NOT communicate with customers in pre-recorded Putonghua voice messages, nor will forward the call to any law enforcement agencies or financing institutions
3. No service charge amount will be indicated in the SMS messages and emails sent by SFHK and customers will not be requested to settle bill or provide passwords or one-time passwords via any hyperlinks
