SFHK’s “Mooncake Donation and Recycling Program”
Celebrate a Green Mid-Autumn Festival
As the Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing near, SFHK once again collaborates with Food Angel to launch the “Mooncake Donation and Recycling Program” to encourage everyone to participate in food conservation while enjoying the Mid-Autumn Festival together, and let’s have a unique green Mid-Autumn Festival together.
From September 29 to October 13, 2024, SFHK and Food Angel will work together to hold a “Mooncake Donation and Recycling Program” at 10 designated SF stores*. Citizens can donate mooncakes at these designated SF stores, and the collected mooncakes will be donated by Food Angel to those in need in the community to share the festive season and extend the deliciousness. Food Angel has been consistently recovering surplus food locally and transforming it into nutritious meals to support people who are in need of food assistance. Click here to support Food Angel now! Through this program, SFHK hopes to work with our customers to support environmental protection, reduce food waste and provide care to those in need.
Donated mooncakes must meet the following conditions:
-Unopened and Individually packaged
-Four weeks or more before “Use By” date or “Best Before” date
-Produced by a company as licensed by the Government of Hong Kong SAR
-No refrigeration required
-Mooncake boxes will not be accepted
