“KMB x SF·Customer Service Centre” 24/7 Service for Comprehensive Passenger Convenience
Starting from Tuesday, 21 January, the customer service centres at Shatin Central and Mei Foo Bus Terminus will be transformed into “KMB x SF·Customer Service Centre,” open 24/7. Passengers can check estimated arrival times for KMB and Long Win routes, charge their smart mobile devices, and use the real-time customer service chat assistant bot1933 for inquiries about KMB and Long Win routes, feedback, and lost property services.
The customer service centres are equipped with SF Lockers. In addition to providing SF Pick Up services. SFHK APP members can also use the lockers for SF Self-Drop services, allowing passengers to use the service anytime, day or night, without needing to coordinate schedules or arrange trips, making it convenient for both early risers and night shift workers.
Supporting Self-Service Lost and Found, Expanding Network for Greater Convenience
In 2023, KMB collaborated with SFHK to install SF Lockers at 35 bus terminals, offering not only SF Pick Up but also self-service lost and found services. To date, over 1,400 passengers have used this convenient method to reclaim items lost on buses. The newly added SF Lockers at the “KMB x SF·Customer Service Centre” in Shatin and Mei Foo will also provide self-service lost and found functions, increasing the total number of SF Locker locations to 37, further enhancing passenger convenience.
Mr. Kenny Kan, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Department at KMB, stated, “KMB and Long Win are committed to providing the most convenient travel services for the public. The ‘KMB x SF·Customer Service Centre’ at Shatin Central and Mei Foo bus terminals, which are busy hubs with multiple KMB routes, will utilize the space effectively. With SFHK’s SF Self-Drop and SF Pick Up services, and KMB’s self-service lost and found services, passengers can easily address their needs while on the go, enhancing their travel experience.”
Increasing Usage of SF Lockers at Bus Terminals Leads to Introduction of SF Self-Drop Services
Regarding KMB’s extensive transportation network and the growth of e-commerce, the overall usage rate of SF Lockers at 35 KMB bus stations has continued to rise since the collaboration began in October 2023. The increase is particularly notable at bus terminal in the New Territories, including Yuen Long, Sheung Shui, Tsuen Wan, Shatin, and Tsing Yi, with usage rates exceeding 90%.
Ms. Charlize Liu, Head of Public Affairs and Communications at SFHK, commented, “The increasing usage of SF Lockers at bus terminal reflects the public’s strong demand for self-service parcel services during their commutes. The data shows that most passengers choose to pick up parcels after work, indicating that the service helps eliminate the hassle of coordinating schedules or arranging trips. To meet the growing demand, SF and KMB have deepened their collaboration by launching two ‘KMB x SF·Customer Service Centres’ as pilot projects and introducing SF Self-Drop services at all lockers, aiming to provide more convenient parcel services for passengers.”
Using the SF Self-Drop service at SF Lockers, customers can choose to send parcels to SFHK service points, designated partner points, or for home delivery. Both sender pay and receiver pay options are available. Customers simply need to register as SFHK APP members to place orders for SF Self-Drop. Once the SF Self-Drop is completed, parcels can be delivered as soon as the next day.
