Oversize and Overweight Surcharge

  • Introduction

    Overweight and oversize surcharge: For a single shipment that exceeds the specified weight or volume restrictions according to normal pickup/delivery standards, SF has to invest additional resources or allocate resources in advance for shipment pickup, delivery, and transit. This additional service will generate certain surcharges.

    Shipments sent from Hong Kong, Macao to overseas countries including ‌United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, DR Congo, Switzerland, Chile, Cameroon, Colombia, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Egypt, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Morocco, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Suriname, Togo, Turkey, Tanzania, Uganda, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, etc.

  • Charges

    Charging Standards of Oversize and Overweight Shipments of Global Express +:

    The method of payment is subject to the freight payment mode (paid by shipper,and paid by third party*).

    *"paid by third party" currently only support credit accounts in Hong Kong/Macau.


    Charging Standards (Level 1): For a single shipment that exceeds "level-1 charging standards" of oversize and overweight shipment of Global Express+, a fixed rate of HKD/MOP 80 piece shall apply.

    Charging Standards (Level 2): For a single shipment that exceeds "level-2 charging standards" of oversize and overweight shipment of Global Expres+, in the flows of America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East(there’s no level 2 in Turkey, the other flows supported by the current products of GE+ are available), a fixed rate of HKD/MOP 300 piece shall apply, the minimum chargeable weight of freight is 40 kg.

    Charging Standards (Level 3): For a single shipment that exceeds "level-3 charging standards" of oversize and overweight shipment and Global Express+, a fixed rate of HKD/MOP 18/kg (18*chargeable weight) shall apply in the other flows, the minimum chargeable weight of freight is 71 kg.

  • Notice for Use

    1. For express shipments that meet the "level-3 charging standards" of Oversize and Overweight Shipments of Global Express+ in a shipment, please use palletized cargo for proper packaging and confirm with our company in advance whether the postal code provides the level-3 charging standards.

     

    2. Additional 1–3 working days are required based on the reference transit time, depending on the actual situations.

     

    3. The Global Express+ products do not support modifications to the receiver's address for Overweight and Oversize service （Level 3），if the single shipment chargeable weight  exceeds 70kg. Please ensure the receiver's address is correct.
